The Wimberley Merchants’ Association and friends are at it again this year, with plans for another enchanting evening on Wimberley Square. Situated throughout the Wimberley Square, Winter’s Eve—A Christmas Festival 2011—is December 10 from 5 pm to 10 pm. The festive holiday evening will feature beautifully staged entertainment from a variety of artists represented by Wimberley’s own Emily Ann’s Theatre & Gardens’ artistic director, Bridgett Farias. Spencer Thomas is the night’s featured entertainer, taking the outdoor stage at 8 pm. Find Santa at 6:30 pm on the porch of the Wimberley Café ready for photos and wish lists, plus enjoy some of the most unique shopping around. Wimberley’s sights and sounds will delight the senses, with beautiful lights, Christmas décor, chestnuts roasting, and carolers, along with many more celebrations of Christmas. Explore shops and restaurants on The Square, at The Quarter, The Garden Gate and on Old Kyle Road, plus local food vendors ready to serve you with their special treats. Stop by the Wimberley Café Porch Bar to enjoy a beer, glass of wine or a wine cocktail with a friend as you stroll. Throughout the evening, you can wander to more than 90 shops attended by delightful shop owners, keepers and artists who have worked hard to fill each with beautiful holiday gifts and Christmas cheer. Find an array of shopping choices in downtown Wimberley unlike any other. FYI • Be sure to purchase raffle tickets for the night’s drawings, offering a chance to win an Apple iPad II, a 32-inch flat screen LCD/HD T.V., a 17 inch H.P. notebook computer, a Tom Bender painting titled “Standing Ready,” or a $250 HEB Gift Card.
